Grandparents Day

On Friday 27th  we celebrated Grandparents’ day as part of Catholic School’s week. In the days leading up to this, the children had interviewed their grandparents. We gathered photographs of the Grandparents who had passed away and those who would not be present on the day. We made cards and decorated the school in preparation for our special guests.  

Fr. Seán celebrated our special mass which was very well attended. The pupils sang and played some traditional hymns which all the grandparents sang with us.it was a very special celebration.  

The pupils then accompanied the grandparents back to the school to give them a tour of their classroom, the school and its features.  Refreshments were served in the General Purpose Room which was filled with chatting and reminiscing and laughter. It was a wonderful occasion and we are very grateful to everyone who helped us to make it such a memorable day for our school  community.
